Yacht Race Forecast Product List and Fee Schedule
Race Forecast Packages will include hand drawn forecast charts through the first seven days of the race, an accompanying text weather summary, a description of how the weather pattern is expected to evolve and how it will affect the race, detailed wind and sea forecasts for the first seven days of the race, and a discussion of race strategy. Forecast information is customized for each yacht based on performance data from the yacht.
Each client will receive two individual in person briefings prior to the race start. Typically the first briefing will be scheduled two days prior to the race start, and the second briefing on the day before the start, but this can vary depending on the schedule details of the race. For some races, a group briefing will be provided with the option for yachts to schedule individual briefings. Briefings will be provided via videconferencing with selected races featuring in person meetings. Fee for Complete Pre-Race Forecast Services is $425. Fee to attend a group briefing (when offered) is $275.
In-Race Forecasts after the race start can be provided when race rules allow this. Locus Weather will not provide such forecasts if we are aware that they are prohibited by the race rules. Fee for In-Race Forecasts is $125 each, discounted to $90 each when taken daily.
Forecasting services to support an entire race fleet can be provided to race organizers. Fees quoted upon request.
